Dr. Alexis Parcells is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who owns and operates her private practice in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Growing up, Dr. Parcells was inspired by watching her father practice medicine from his office, which was attached to their home. Dr. Parcells saw how much members of the community admired his service as a local doctor, and the pride he took in treating neighbors and strangers alike.
Dr. Parcells first became interested in plastic surgery through her volunteer work with Operation Smile. She went on her first medical mission at the age of 16 to Morocco. When she saw the lives of children and their families changed with a simple 1-hour operation, she became passionate about enacting that type of change in the lives of her future patients and focused her studies on a career in medicine.
After completing her education and becoming a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Parcells has continued her strong academic involvement in the plastic surgery community. She has authored several textbooks and professional journal articles and has presented her original research at numerous national and international meetings, including Brussels, Paris, Madrid, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. She is also a clinical instructor to medical students and residents through RWJ Barnabas Health. For all her efforts, Dr. Parcells has been recognized for excellence in teaching with two New Jersey Medical School Golden Apple nominations.
As an authority in the field, and a source of valuable education, Dr. Alexis Parcells is using her platform to empower other women to celebrate their beauty.
